February Wrap-Up & March Updates
Monthly Calendar & Black-Owned Vegan Businesses
Happy Friday, #vegang! I’ll have to keep this short and sweet due to time constraints, but I wanted to send two updates:
Another calendar is now out for March. I’ve also posted the latest on Instagram and Facebook as well.
In honor of Black History Month coming to a close, I’ve listed some of my favorite vegan black-owned (and co-owned) businesses in DFW, as our support of the black community should continue beyond just a month. Be sure to send them some love!
Please reply in this email and let me know what you liked and what you would like to see less or more of. Your feedback will keep me going and make this newsletter better. Now lets get to it.
March Events

I am interested in going to The Zend to volunteer! Is anyone interested?!

I’ve got myself a little meetup at Pizza Verde! If you are interested in going, I will likely be there until close!

As always, please let me know if you need links to these events, groups, or vendors. Those who are on IG are tagged in my post as well!
Spotlight on Black-Owned and Co-Owned Businesses
Black-owned businesses have contributed immensely to the vegan and plant-based community and it is up to us to show them our love and support. They not only have contributed to the amount of options and locations in DFW, but they have inspired communities to see plant-based options as more than a misconception of just “vegetables.” Did you know that Black Americans are the fastest growing demographic to adopt a plant-based diet? You can read a little more here.
Below is my list of vendors, the majority of whom I’ve tried/visited, and some I’ve befriended! ( * = Black co-owned)

Munchie People! Da Munchies is making their return at The Greenhouse Lounge & Wellness Center in Desoto this weekend, Sunday, March 2nd between 11-2 PM. They are bringing back some of the soul food classics, along with their famous “egg” rolls, and pot roast sliders! Check out their video below for more details:
Apologies as I ran out of time to link all the businesses mentioned above to their websites/socials. If you cannot find the vendor on social media, please let me know and I’ll direct you!
Got an eye for editing? If you are interested in assisting with this newsletter, please let me know by replying to this email! I’d love some help to prevent this newsletter from going by the wayside. 🙃
