Events for the upcoming week.

  • On Saturday July 27th, the Veggie Outers will be meeting at the Goji Cafe a meetup at Goji Cafe from 5:30-8 pm. You can find more info here.

  • On 28th July at 5:30pm, Dallas Vegetarians are hosting a dinner meetup at one of the most popular Chinese restaurants in Dallas, which has an extensive vegetarian and vegan menu. Join the group here to know more details.

  • On Wednesday July 31st, Eatyodestiny is hosting a Nourishing Narratives: Dallas Women of Color Embracing Plant-Based Living at the Golden Blk Candle Lounge from 8-10 pm. More details can be found here.

In a surprising twist, plant-based nuggets have outperformed traditional chicken nuggets in the largest blind taste test ever conducted. This revelation comes from the "Taste of the Industry 2024" report by Food System Innovations, involving 1,150 American omnivores testing 45 plant-based meat products.

While plant-based nuggets triumphed, other categories like burgers and bacon showed mixed results, highlighting the ongoing challenge in replicating meat-based products.
