The Smart Vegan's Nutrient Checklist

Embracing a vegan lifestyle often comes with questions about nutrition, and rightly so.

While a well-planned plant-based diet can provide most of what we need, certain nutrients deserve extra attention. B12, for instance, is the talk of the vegan town, with sublingual supplements emerging as a popular and effective option. Vitamin D and calcium, once thought to be the domain of dairy, have found new homes in fortified plant milks and leafy greens. For those busy days when beans and tofu seem like too much effort, vegan protein powders offer a quick fix. And let's not forget the omega-3s - those little chia seeds pack a surprising punch. With a bit of knowledge and perhaps a strategic supplement or two, vegan nutrition can be both delicious and nutritionally sound.
